Awesome applications require awesome gaskets

revoseal sealing concept

Our products are unique in many ways. Our patented gaskets have the lowest leakage rate on the international market. We have developed a sealing concept based on a soft-layer / metal combination. A metallic seal is created even at very low tightening torques. As a result, fugitive emissions at flanged joints can be reduced to almost zero, blowout resistance can be dramatically increased and, in addition, pressure and temperature fluctuations can be compensated. Maintenance costs are reduced because retightening of bolts is not necessary. The environment and personnel are protected. Our gaskets are available in all common standard dimensions DIN and ANSI and in special dimensions and geometries up to 4000 mm outer diameter. Part of our service is the calculation, installation and maintenance of our products. With revoseal you increase the productivity of your plants and noticeably reduce your costs. Unscheduled downtime is minimized by revoseals sealing concept.

Applications

The revoseal gaskets can be a better alternative for a wide range of applications. Due to the very low leakage rate (The TA Luft – a German standard for leackage measurement – result of the revoseal JP is 6.4×10-11 mbar x l/ (m x s)), they are used in helium and hydrogen applications or others containing fugitive or toxic gases. The metallic contact can compensate for large pressure and temperature fluctuations. revoseal gaskets provide leak-free operation of equipment in cryogenic applications as well as in high-temperature applications such as cracking furnaces. In steam applications, revoseal gaskets reduce the risk of leakage during steam hammer or pressure spikes due to their high spring elasticity and blowout resistance. Many companies in the chemical industry use them also as equipment gaskets, as high surface pressure can be achieved even with low bolt force.

Our special gaskets

revoseal JG/JP

The internationally patented geometry of the higher external and internal teeth completely encapsulates the graphite or PTFE overlay. The tooth geometry is calculated to realize ideal compression of the graphite and a dual metal gasket even when using low grade screws. The revoseal JG or JP (encapsulated flat profile gaskets) combines the advantages of metallic and soft material sealing in an ideal way.

revoseal Eco+/Visio

The Eco+ gasket consists of a solid stainless steel carrier covered on both sides with a narrow graphite or PTFE overlay. The Visio gasket consists of a solid stainless steel carrier with embossed inner and outer teeth and graphite or PTFE overlays on both sides. Towards the media side and, in the case of the Visio, also towards the atmosphere side, a resilient "tooth" is embossed to provide a metallic seal on both sides of the flange. The resilient "tooth" can absorb alternating forces caused by pressure and temperature fluctuations without plastic deformation. There is no need to retighten the bolts when starting up the system, as is the case with comb-profile gaskets, for example.

revoseal Revolution

The Revolution gasket is an embossed flat profile gasket made of a flexible stainless steel carrier and encapsulated graphite or PTFE on both sides. The revolutionary design and flexibility of the embossed tooth height provides a dual metal seal as well as encapsulation of the graphite or PTFE. The Revolution's wide range of applications makes it the alternative to all conventional flat gasket types.

revoseal System Vario

The centering rings of gaskets with the same nominal size but different pressure ratings differ only in their outer diameter when installed. When installing non-corresponding dimensions, this can lead to malfunctions and seal failure. The Vario centering system prevents incorrect use, at the same time reducing the number of gasket types to be kept in stock and increasing plant availability. The solution is revoseal's Vario variable centering system. The shape of the centering segments allows different outside diameters to be compensated. The risk of confusion and decentering is eliminated. Time-consuming positioning by means of expansion shaft screws is no longer necessary.

Our standard gaskets

description

revoseal PTFE gaskets

Flat gaskets made of PTFE are high-quality seals that are used in particular in the chemical and food industries. PTFE seals are almost universally resistant to chemicals and solvents. Pure PTFE is used for low mechanical stress, low pressure to be sealed and low operating temperature [max. 100 °C] of the medium to be conveyed. In a temperature range in which the properties are kept constant, it can be used from -200 °C to +260 °C. Modified PTFE has significantly lower deformation under load even at elevated temperatures and reduction of permeability to gases and vapors due to a low-porosity homogeneous microstructure.

revoseal graphite gaskets

Graphite gaskets are characterized in particular by their high compressibility, very good compensating capacity and good chemical resistance. The high flexibility of graphite allows good adaptability to unevenness and roughness of the flange. Depending on requirements, graphite gaskets can be designed as a pure foil, as a gasket with bonded stainless steel sheet inserts or in a non-adhesive composite with stainless steel foils. The use of an inner flange can increase the operational reliability of graphite gaskets. Graphite gaskets require careful handling during handling and installation to avoid scratching the gasket surface.

revoseal lens gaskets

Lens gaskets, also known as high-pressure lenses or sealing lenses, are all-metal, machined sealing elements. Sealing lenses are mainly used in the high-pressure sector, preferably in pipe flanges. Their two outer surfaces are curved on both sides. The prerequisite for their use is lens flanges that have a negative of the shape of the lens seal as a mating surface. This design prevents overpressing during assembly due to the disproportionately low increase in pressure. Most of the lens seals used today are manufactured according to the well-known standard DIN 2696, which describes lens seals from DN 10 PN 63 to DN300 PN 400. In addition to this standard, there are many other company specifications or national standards that describe in detail certain shapes and details of lenses. All these special designs are covered by our product range.

revoseal SWG spiral wound gaskets

Spiral wound gaskets consist of a mixture of metal and filler material. Generally, the gasket has a metal (usually high carbon or stainless steel) wound in a circular spiral outward (other shapes are possible), with the filler material (generally a flexible graphite) wound in the same way, but from the opposite side. This results in alternating layers of filler and metal. The filler in these gaskets acts as the sealing element, while the metal provides structural support. These gaskets have proven reliable in most applications and allow for lower clamping forces than solid gaskets, but at a higher cost.

revoseal cam profile gaskets

A cam profile gasket consists of a metallic carrier on which the turned-in comb profile is located. The soft material overlays are applied to this profile. During pressing, the soft material is pressed into the combs, thus forming a thin layer between the comb tips and the sealing surface (flange surface). Comb profile gaskets are used in refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, and power plants and are excellent for sealing flanges subjected to high pressure and temperature loads. The concentric geometric shape of the metal core profile provides pressure peaks at the tips of the webs, preventing any leakage through the sealing surfaces (labyrinth effect). The metal core means there is no possibility of crushing, so the gasket can withstand extremely high torque loads.

revoseal ring-joint gaskets (RTJ)

Ring-joint gaskets are primarily used in refineries and the petrochemical industry and are a purely metallic sealing body and belongs to the category of static gaskets. The sealing surface is slightly curved. It achieves a sealing effect due to the line contact that occurs during compression between the gasket body and the flange. This requires higher manufacturing qualities, such as lower roughness, compared to a sealing point consisting of a flat gasket and a smooth flange pair. A flat gasket achieves its sealing effect due to the plastic deformation of the gasket body and the resulting snug fit to the flange surface, which greatly reduces leakage paths in the gasket and between the gasket and flange surfaces.

revoseal weld ring gaskets

Weld ring gaskets without an auxiliary gasket are primarily used where very high pressure and very high temperatures are present. We recommend the use of welding ring gaskets with an auxiliary gasket, e.g. spiral wound gasket, where absolute sealing safety of the gasket against hazardous media is required. The weld ring gasket also has the advantage that the welded joint can be undone without major problems
